Roles and Responsibilities:
– Strong understanding of data security best practices, and regulatory compliance frameworks like PCI-DSS, cloud security and ISO standards.
– Experience with data warehousing and data lake technologies.
– Strong understanding of cloud security principles (e.g., AWS Security Best Practices, Azure Security Benchmark).
– Configure and manage access controls using tools relevant to both on-premises and cloud environments, including Kerberos, Apache Ranger, Azure Active Directory, and identity and access management (IAM) tools.
– Secure sensitive data with a blend of on-premises solutions like HashiCorp Vault and cloud-based encryption services like AWS KMS.
– Implement data loss prevention (DLP) and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions like McAfee DLP & ESM, Splunk, and SIEMENS Arcsight, ensuring coverage across on-premises and cloud deployments.
– Certifications in security domains are a plus (CISSP, CISA, Security+, CCSP for cloud security).
– Manage network security using firewalls like Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto Networks, with expertise in both on-premises and cloud-based firewall solutions.
– 5+ years of experience in securing IT infrastructure, with a strong foundation in on-premises security and a demonstrable understanding of cloud security concepts.

Qualifications:

– BS or MS in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
